How long has it been around?
If you think that this style of photography has not been around long you are unfortunately mistaken. Buildings, monuments and cities have been around since the beginning of time, and people have been photographing them since cameras existed, so as you can imagine, quite a while ago. This shows us the cultural significance and impact that architectural structures had at the time and still do.
The first architectural image that we have on record was shot by Danguerre in 1839, this image depicted the Paris’ Boulevard du Temple.
Joseph-Philibert Prangey followed Danguerre’s steps, and it is thanks to him that we now have access to some incredible antique architectural photography.

Interior photography is a very broad subject. For this blog, we will be focusing on the main aspects of this style.
As the name suggests interior photography focuses on the inside of a building or a space. Someone performing this type of photography should have a clear grasp of all aspects of lighting.
When performing this style of architectural photography you can choose to focus on what your clients need.
